Burk Police Chief to Retire

Burk Police Chief Mike Tracey announces plans to retire.

Next week, Burkburnett resident will see a change of command at the police department.
Chief Mike Tracey announced his retirement last month.
He took over as chief in June 2007 and will retire with 35 years of law enforcement experience under his belt.
Tracey plans to spend squeeze in a little R & R between spending more time with family and traveling.
His last day on the job will be October 31st and his day will end with a retirement reception.
He's expected to swear in his successor during that reception, Lt. Ed Stahr, who has been with Burk P.D. for 2 year and has worked in law enforcement for 24 years.
