55 year old Albert Edmonds III is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On August 6th, Burkburnett Police were called to a home in the 500 block of Berry.

Arrest records state that once inside they found a 55 year old man lying in a pool of blood with several wounds to his skull.

He was transported to United Regional for treatment.

Police say they later found Edmonds at another home with blood on his pants and face.

According to the affidavit Edmonds told officers the two had been drinking when his friend hit him.

He told police his friend wouldn't let him leave so he grabbed a hammer and hit him six times in the head.

Edmonds bond is set at $50,000.
