Burkburnett's Kylee Trahan is undoubtedly one of the best pitchers to jump in the circle on the diamonds of Texoma. On Wednesday, she signed a letter of intent to pitch for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.The NCAA's fall signing period opened Wednesday.
Louisiana-Lafayette was so excited to sign Trahan they insisted her intent papers be faxed by 9a.m..After being named district newcomer of the year, Trahan has won 35 games for the Bulldogs the past two seasons while striking out 594 batters in 287 innings of work. She joins a nationally-respected program which has averaged a 48-13 record the past six seasons.
For Kylee, it's the chance to continue doing what she's done her whole life.
"I've grown up playing it with all my friends. I was taught by my dad when I was young. I watched my cousin play on the Blasters and I decided I wanted to be a pitcher. I just love it," says Trahan.
