Mike Tracey has headed up the Burkburnett Police Department since June 2007.

Last month, he announced he is retiring and Thursday will be his last day on the job.

A retirement reception for Chief Tracey is tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burkburnett Community Center on Davey Drive and everyone is invited.

Tracey has been in law enforcement for 35 years.

Lt. Ed Stahr, who has been with department for seven years, will begin as the new chief November 1st.
