Cancer Prevention Study-3

The American Cancer Society hopes you can help unlock the mystery of cancer.

The American Cancer Society hopes you can help unlock the mystery of cancer.

The cancer prevention study-3 is a long term research study that allows researchers to better understand how genetics, lifestyle and environmental exposures work to cause or prevent cancer.

In the past the study confirmed the link between cigarette smoking and lung cancer and demonstrated the link between larger waist sizes and increased death rates from cancer.

Those affected by cancer say they hope the study will wipe out the disease entirely.

“I would like my kids to never have to hear I have cancer. I would just like everybody not to have to hear those words,” said Breast Cancer survivor Jackie Bush.

The cancer prevention study-3 in Wichita Falls will be November 24th at First United Methodist Church.

To participate you must be between the ages of 30 and 65 and have never been diagnosed with cancer excluding basal or squamous cell skin cancer.

To register to participate go to www.cancerstudyTX.org or call 1-888-604-5888.
