Charles Dyer, the Oklahoma man convicted in April of child sex abuse is sentenced to 30 years behind bars without parole.
That's what the Stephens County jury recommended and what the judge handed down yesterday. Dyers informed the judge he is no longer able to afford an attorney. A judge granted Dyer a court appointed attorney to handle his appeal.
The abuse of the 7 year old child took place sometime in late November or early December of 2010 at Dyer's home in Oklahoma. His April trial was the third attempt to try Dyer.  Two previous attempts ended in mistrials and one retrial was postponed when authorities say Dyer fled to Houston.
