The 22 year old Australian baseball player shot and killed in Duncan is remembered during a funeral service in Melbourne Wednesday.

Relatives and friends paid tribute to Christopher Lane during a service.

Chris was killed in a drive-by shooting earlier this month while jogging in Duncan.

The 22-year-old was a student attending East Central University on a baseball scholarship.
His family was at the service as well as his girlfriend, Sarah Harper who laid an Oklahoma State Flag on his casket.

They recalled Chris' love for baseball and for Harper.

"When someone as young as Chris loses his life, it's always a tragedy.  But when the life is lost for no purpose and with no logic, it's much, much harder to understand and accept," said his father, Peter Lane.

Fifteen year old James Edwards and 16 year old Chancey Luna are charged with first degree murder.

Seventeen year old Michael Jones is charged as an accessory.

A 5k and one mile fun run will be held in Duncan on Monday, which would have been Chris' 23rd birthday.
All funds raised will go to a scholarship fund in his memory.
