Citizens Speak out at City Council about Smoking

The public weighs in at Tuesday's City Council Meeting for & against the proposed smoking ordinance.
There were 8 people signed up to speak at the Wichita Falls City Council Meeting on May 20.

This video shows 4 of the comments made Tuesday morning, by the public, for and against the new proposed smoking ordinance.

The smoking ordinance was a non action item, so no further discussion was taken during the meeting.

The smoking ordinance is scheduled to go before the city council as a staff presentation on June 3rd.

This will be a presentation by city staff only. The city council can interact with staff by asking questions and making comments, but during that presentation there will be no comments allowed from the public.  The smoking ordinance will be back in front of the council on June 17th for action. So if you feel strongly one way or the other, that is when you will have another opportunity to speak.
