Officials say the cumulonimbus clouds in Saturday’s thunderstorm are perfect for cloud seeding so the cloud seeding plane took flight.
Cumulonimbus clouds are those which form into thunderstorms.
The cloud seeding plane was in the air for about two hours Saturday afternoon seeding clouds southwest of Wichita Falls.
They shot up ten flares filled with silver iodide in hopes of creating more moisture and officials say they went up again later in the evening.
