Colorado Woman Jailed in Connection with Alleged Murderer Evan Ebel

A Colorado woman is behind bars tonight in connection with the death of the Colorado Head of Corrections Tom Clements and injuring a Montague County Deputy.

A Colorado woman is behind bars tonight in connection with the death of the Colorado Head of Corrections Tom Clements and injuring a Montague County Deputy. 

22-year-old Stevie Vigil is accused of buying the gun Evan Ebel used. Ebel was a convicted felon and could not purchase his own firearm legally. Police say Clements was killed by Ebel last Eednesday night when he answered the door of his Colorado home. 

On Thursday Evan Ebel shot Deputy James Boyd three times during a traffic stop before leading law enforcement officials on a high speed chase that ended in a shootout in Decatur. 

Vigil faces one count of unlawful purchase of a firearm. If convicted, she could face up to 16 years in prison.
