Wichita Falls School Board Trustees like how Dr. John Frossard did in his first year as superintendent.
Wichita Falls School Board Trustees like how Dr. John Frossard did in his first year as superintendent.

They have given him a raise and replaced his original three year contract with a five year deal.

Dr. Frossard was hired last July and given a three year contract with $170,000 a year. Now he has a contract through June of 2018 at $198,000 per year.

On top of that, the district will put $15,000 annually into a rentention fund for 5 years, which he can collect the total amount $75,000 at the end of his new contract.

The district will also deposit $20,000 per year into a deferred compensation account for Dr. Frossard.

School Board President Kevin Goldstein says the board's goal was to retain the superintendent for a long time, after losing the last 3 superintendents to higher paying districts.
