In a 32-14 decision, Oklahoma lawmakers have approved a controversial bill allowing horses to be slaughtered in the state.

The meat would be shipped to other countries for human consumption.

The bill would continue to ban the sale of horse meat for consumption, but some lawmakers raised concerns about shipping the meat to other countries where people eat horses.

The bill now goes to Governor Fallin, who's expected to sign it into law.

Once that happens, it will go into effect November 1st.
