A convicted meth dealer received a life sentence today in 78th District Court.
A jury convicted Johnny Perez, Sr., of possessing more than five grams of meth.
District Judge Barney Fudge gave him the maximum sentence -- life -- along with a ten thousand dollar fine.
In October of 2010, Wichita Falls police conducted a search warrant at Perez's house, in the 300 block of Lee.
There, they found more than five grams of meth hidden in Perez's mattress.
Investigators say Perez had been selling meth the day before the search warrant was carried out.
And, the prosecution cited five prior felony convictions he had -- including drugs and weapons charges.
