Crockett Elementary Toy Drive Benefits Operation Santa Claus

<br><span style="font-size: x-small; "> <p>Instead of receiving toys some Wichita Falls students gave them to a local program that helps children in need.</p> <p>Games, trucks and other toys were bagged up today at Crockett Elementary.</p> <p>Students collected them during the school's second annual toy drive which was spearheaded by student council members.</p> <p>And one young council member says giving is all part of the Christmas spirit.</p> <p>"It makes me feel good of myself cause I'm helping others and they don't have any presents cause whenever I get presents on Christmas Eve I think about them and they don't have any and all that stuff," says Brandy Cotton, a member of the Crockett Elementary student council.</p> <p>Student council members collected about 200 toys during this year's toy drive.</p> <p>This afternoon they walked them out of the school and handed them over to Wichita Falls fire fighters, who will use them to provide about 2,500 area kids with Christmas presents through their Operation Santa Claus Program.</p></span>
