The Wichita Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau is bringing two new events to the city.
The CVB worked out a five- year contract with the Six- Man Coaches Association, so they will start bringing their conference to Wichita Falls this summer.
They will also bring many of their athletes to town for some all- star games.
Also coming this summer, The Santa Gertrudis Junior Heifer Show.
Officials say that event should bring more than 700 people to the J.S.Bridwell Ag Center.
“The events we have here are certainly worthwhile, everyone knows about the T.O. Junior Golf Tournament and HotterN'Hell and Oil Bowl and a lot of those events that have gone on for years and those always bring tourist to town, we certainly don't deny that but there's always room for growth. I mean for us tourism is definitely an economic engine for the community and it brings in outside dollars,” says Lindsay Greer, CVB Director.
