Dallas Fire Marshal Impersonator Gets Busted by Real Marshal

A man claiming to be a Dallas County Fire Marshal finds himself behind bars after the real Fire Marshal catches him in the act.

A man claiming to be a Dallas County Fire Marshal finds himself behind bars after the real Fire Marshal catches him in the act.

Grapevine police say 43-year-old Charles Brandon was at a night club Saturday night and
identified himself as the Fire Marshal.

According to police, Brandon flashed a badge he'd allegedly stolen from a friend in an attempt to drink alcohol beverages for free.

But investigators say he ran into a problem because the real Fire Marshal just happened to be at the bar that night and called police.

It is a felony to impersonate a public servant in Texas. Police think Brandon could be the man they're looking for in a similar impersonation case that happened New Year's Eve.
