Dallas police have arrested a man accused of shooting the mother of his child.

At about 2 a.m., a child called 911 and said his father shot his mother inside their home in the 4400 block of Newmore Avenue, near Love Field, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the woman, 30-year-old Yadira Zarazua, with gunshot wounds to her torso and legs. She was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with serious injuries and is listed in stable condition.

The woman's common-law husband, 31-year-old Roberto Flores, was gone, so officers began searching for the man by ground and by air.

At about 10 a.m., Dallas police said Flores had been found and arrested though further details were not released.
