A historic business in Wichita Falls received two big honors Saturday for it's hard work.

Davenport Grocery on Farris Street was presented with a Texas Treasure Business Award for supporting the state's economy for over 50 years.

And a historical marker was unveiled in front of the store.

Davenport Grocery has been open for 87 years and has stayed family owned through out the decades.

County and state officials were at the event Saturday to help honor the store.

And dozens of residents packed the parking lot to show their support.

The owner attributes the store's success to the loyal customers.

“It's just a wonderful thing, it's awesome that everyone came out to support us and we've got some wonderful customers and wonderful friends and family,” says Owner, NaDonna Norris.

To celebrate the special occasion Davenport's famous Hot Links are on sale for half price all day Saturday, you can get your hands on one for only 75 cents.
