If you're looking to replace old appliances in your home, and are looking to save money on those appliances, this Memorial Day weekend may be the perfect time to buy them.
If you're looking to replace old appliances in your home, and are looking to save money on those appliances, this Memorial Day weekend may be the perfect time to buy them.

Energy Star Weekend is underway at all appliance stores across the Lone Star state.

That means all Energy Star appliances are tax free.

Officials say those appliances are very efficient and save you money because they use less energy and water.

“We use less water which is helping us out because we are in a drought, as far as efficiency it uses less water, faster drying time, faster washing times, which uses less consumption,” says Lowe's Commercial Sales Specialist Mike Sharp.

The sale continues through Monday.

Products that qualify for the exemption are air conditioners priced less than six- thousand- dollars,  refrigerators that cost less than two-thousand, ceiling fans,  fluorescent light bulbs, washing machines,  dishwashers, and more.
