Fine Wines, Great Causes

The Red River Wine Festival brought many out to experience some of the best Texas wines.
The promise of an evening, sipping some of the finest wines in Texas was too good for many to turn down tonight.

The 10th Annual Senior Junior Forum Red River Wine Festival brought hundreds to the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center.

22 Texas wineries, along with local restaurants, and businesses showed off their products as Cody Shaw and the Rhythm Boys entertained the tasters.

The event is a great way for local vendors to show off their products and those involved say introducing Texomans to local wines is big for their exposure.

"It's a good place to come to try a big variety of wines from all of the wineries in the area. I think it is great," said volunteer Vicki Sullivan.

100 percent of the proceeds from this event stay in the community and are distributed to a number of charitable causes.
