FNF Preview: 2014 Nocona Indians

Our Friday Night Football previews roll on with a look at the Nocona Indians

The 2013 Nocona Indians played under the shadow of a 2012 team which went 12-1. This years team can create their own identity.
"I don't think there is any doubt that our strength is our receivers," says Head Coach Brad Keck. "With Kyle (Sentell), Cat(alino Hernandez), Robert Hawkins, Brandon Ramsey, Marcus Carter, Ryder (Nobile) out of the backfield and Gavin Johnson. I think that's our strength, our receiving corps."
And there is no concern about Christian Ibarra taking over the quarterbacking duties. It's a position he's quite familiar with.
"I don't think Christian will have any problem playing quarterback," says Keck. "Even though he didn't get a lot of game experience last year as a quarterback, everyday in practice he's working with the number twos as quarterback. It's not like he hasn't had reps there."
"Me and Christian have been playing together since junior high, maybe midgets," says Wide Receiver Kyle Sentell. "We've just always had a good connection. He knows when I'm going to break on the ball and the perfect time to throw it."
The biggest challenge this season? Overcoming a lack of size.
"Our size and strength will be our biggest disadvantage but I hope we make up for it with heart and speed," says Keck.
