A man who was sentenced and ordered to pay restitution for forging checks of his step-grandfather last May is charged with 18 counts of forged checks again, this time of his stepfather.

21-year-old Jesse Ray Hail of 886 Huntington Lane is in Wichita County on 18 separate $10,000 bonds. Last May, Hail was sentenced to 6 months  probation and ordered to pay almost $11,000 restitution after pleading guilty to forgery of checks belonging to his step-grandfather.

Police say Hail stole a book of checks and cashed 19 of them totaling more than $5,000. The new charge alleges Hail forged and cashed 18 checks belonging to his stepfather, at least 14 of them at State National Bank on Iowa Park Road.
