Four Retire During WFPD Ceremony

Four Wichita Falls Police Department employees are hanging their hats as they move into retirement.
The Wichita Falls Police Department is saying "good luck" to four of its members as they enter into retirement.

Those employees were formally sent into their retirement during a ceremony at the public safety training center Thursday afternoon.

They share more than 100 years of experience with the department.

They include Valerie "Penny" Rhodes, who served as a dispatcher, Detective Tony Fox, Officer David Hoard, and Officer Douglas Tidwell.

Each of them served the department and the community for more than 25 years.

Also at Thursday's ceremony, Officer Logan Riley was honored for performing CPR to save the life of a female who suffered a diabetic coma and stopped breathing in April.
