Today 69th District State Representative James Frank announced his plans to run for re-election.

The republican was elected in 2012, and wrapped up his first legislative session after three special sessions this summer.

In the 83rd legislature, Frank served on the defense and veterans' affairs committee, as well as the land and resource management committee.

Frank says he enjoyed representing the community and learned a lot in his first term and wants to continue to lead.

"I want to limit to roll of government in our lives, particularly in the national level and also the state level, and help government run more efficient, which I like to see how I can make things run more efficiently," he said.

Frank is a Wichita Falls native who owns two companies in Wichita Falls: Sharp Iron and Transland. District 69 is composed of Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Knox and Wichita counties.
