Family and friends are preparing to pay their final respects to a Wichita Falls business man who was known for providing service with a smile.

Samuel Kouri passed away Saturday at the age of 90.

Back in 1941, he teamed with his father and two brothers and opened Kouri's Grocery.

For more than 60 years the store was a place where Texomans came to purchase top quality meats from a family that was known for its famous personal service.

Although the business closed in 2002, the building still stands today at the corner of Hayes and Avenue H, drawing fond memories to former customers who drive by.

Visitation for Samuel Kouri is tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

His funeral is Tuesday, December 3rd at 10 a.m. in the funeral home's chapel.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank or to the DAV.
