Furloughed Texomans Ordered Back to Work

Department of Army and Department of Air Force civilian workers who were furloughed because of the government shutdown are expected back at work Monday morning.
Civilian workers at Sheppard Air Force Base and Fort Sill are being ordered back to work tomorrow.

At Sheppard, that means the 641 employees who were furloughed because of the government shutdown will be back on the job.

Those non-excepted civilian workers make up about 57 percent of Sheppard's work force.

And in Lawton, that means 2500 civilian workers who were furloughed will be back at work at Fort Sill.

Employees who have questions about returning to work are instructed to contact their supervisors.
