A Texas Ranger testified a murder defendant didn't question authorities when they arrested him and extradited him back to Clay County.

Justin Green was arrested in Phoenix back in February. Authorities say they received information that Green and his mother had moved there.

Green is charged with fatally shooting 28- ear-old Jose Ramirez.

Authorities say he killed Ramirez inside a home in the 1700 block of fm 2332 in Petrolia and buried him outside.

They say they dug up the body last year, five years after Ramirez was killed.

A Texas Ranger testified that investigators used multiple solutions and detected blood in the home. He says the traces of blood led out to the garage.

clay County sheriffs deputies say they received information that a body was buried behind the home and that Green was responsible. He used to live in the home in question, and moved to Arizona shortly after Ramirez was killed.

When authorities got an arrest warrant for Green, they went to Phoenix to pick him up.

At that time, they say they told him he was wanted for murder and say he didn't ask any questions. In fact, they say he was joking around while en route to Clay County.

And when they got back to Clay County, authorities started a recorded interview with Green.

Defense Attorney Dustin Nimz says there are multiple times in the interview in which his client mentions getting a lawyer, but the interview continued.

So, Judge Roger Towery says he'll review the interview Wednesday evening before he decides if it can be shown to the jury Thursday.

Testimony continues Thursday morning at 9.
