Hackers got a hold of the list of Hangar Holiday vendor e-mails. They created a fake e-mail address, which, at first glance, looks similar to the real e-mail address. The impersonators e-mailed all Hangar Holiday vendors stating that the organizer had been mugged in a foreign country and needed vendors to send her two thousand dollars so she and her family could get home.

Some alert vendors knew the e-mail was a scam and notified Hangar Holiday organizers. Despite the scam the show will go on! Hangar Holiday is this weekend at the MPEC. Admission is free but organizers ask that you bring a non-perishable food item as your ticket to get in. Those items will be donated to local food banks.

You can shop til you drop Saturday from 9 A.M. until 6 P.M and Sunday from noon to five.
