Sheppard Elementary students got a special treat Tuesday morning at their school.
Harlem Globetrotter Scooter Christensen paid a visit to deliver an anti-bullying message.
The program is called the "ABC's of Bullying Prevention"
The interactive program focuses on Action, Bravery, and Compassion.
Christensen uses the Globetrotters signature ball handling skills and humor to get the anti-bullying message across.
The program is designed in coordination with the National Campaign to Stop Violence.
"Bullying is a strong issue in our country. You get the sense that kinds think it is cool to do or you feel cool because you are hurting another kid. We are here to say that is not right. We have a good message to tell the kids kinda of the do's and don'ts you know if you are being bullied or if you see somebody being bullied hopefully make that situation more comfortable for them so they know how to handle the situation," said Harlem Globetrotter Player Scooter Christensen.
Scooter and the rest of the Harlem Globetrotters will be bringing their 2014 "Fans Rule" World Tour to the Kay Yeager Coliseum Friday, February 21 at 7:00 P.M. So go and check them out.
