A new warning about rabies for Wichita Falls residents after two skunks test positive for the virus.  One of the skunks was located southwest of the city and the other southeast.

Officials are urging everyone to make sure their pets are vaccinated for rabies.  Also, if you see any skunks, bats, or raccoons acting strangely or aggressively, officials urge you to call animal control immediately at 761-7824.

And since rabies spreads through saliva, if an animal scratches or bites you, wash the wound immediately and call a doctor.
