Heart Gallery hopes to find "forever homes" for kids seeking to get adopted

Heart Gallery opens up with portraits of kids searching for their "forever homes".
The Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas is trying to help children who have been abused, neglected or removed from their homes find a "forever family".

The grand opening of the gallery took place on Tuesday evening at Patsy's House.

The event showcased portraits of amazing kids who are waiting to be adopted.

Chairwoman of the Heart Gallery Keri Goins hopes these images will open the eyes and hearts of families to consider adopting or even fostering a child.

"Adopting a child is a big responsibility and it is kind of scary but there are so many people who have done it," Goins says. "I've heard so many people who have adopted children say, 'it's just like having your own. There's good times and there's tough times just like with your own children.'

Goins exclaims, "Overall, it's just a blessing for your family."

The Heart Gallery Pictures will be showcased all over the community through the end of December.
