Jobs could be coming to Henrietta as city leaders hope to get a state grant to help build a travel center on Highway 287.

Monday night, city leaders will meet to discuss applying for the grant from the Texas Capital Fund. That would pay for a water line to the facility at a cost of about $250,000.

The travel center would be built at Highways 148 and 287 by Victron Energy based in Waxahachie. Henrietta Economic Development officials say the center would include restaurants, a convenience store, fuel pumps and lots of parking.

The meeting is set for Monday night at 7 at Henrietta City Hall on North Main Street.
