Each Hotter 'N Hell Hundred rest stop will have a medical tent and health officials say they are ready to treat any injury a rider may sustain.

Dr. Keith Williamson, who is heading up the Hotter 'N Hell medical tent, says nearly 70 doctors, between 300 and 400 nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physical therapists along with with a few x-ray technicians and pharmacists will all be on hand tomorrow to treat what ails rides.

Health officials say injuries come in two waves.

According to Dr. Williamson, the first wave comes at the start of the race and mostly consists of scrapes, cuts and broken wrists and collar bones. Then during the late morning and early afternoon hours, Dr. Williamson says injuries steer more toward cramps and heat exhaustion.
