Jay Leno signs off after nearly 22 years as host of "The Tonight Show."
(NBC News) Jay Leno's run as host of "The Tonight Show" is over.

Leno's final show kicked off with some career advice from celebrity friends and former guests, including Matt Damon, Charlie Sheen and even President Obama.

"I've decided to make you our new ambassador for Antarctica. Hope you've got a warm coat funny man," the president joked.

In the end, Jay broke down a bit as he thanked his fans and his staff.

"This has been the greatest 22 years of my life," Leno said.
