Jenny Could Make Final Flight Sunday

Depending on Sunday's weather, Saturday may have been the Curtiss " Jenny" Plane's final flight before it becomes a display at the soon- to- be Wichita Falls Regional Airport.
Depending on Sunday's weather, Saturday may have been the Curtiss " Jenny" Plane's final flight before it becomes a display at the soon- to- be Wichita Falls Regional Airport.

Saturday's flight was a tribute to the 34 men that died at the old Call Field training camp.

The Jenny flew over the old air field tipping it's wing to honor the lives lost.

And circled around Call Field road.

Dozens of people lined up along Call Field to see the historic flight and honor the men who lost their lives.

Pilot David Martin said it was great to see so much support for the Jenny.

“It's a perfect day and we had a good crowd and it's good to see a lot of people out to see it fly, that's what it's for so people can see and appreciate it what they did in WW1 at Call Field,” says Martin.

If the weather is nice the Jenny will take flight again Sunday.

She will take flight from the Kickapoo Airport at 2 p.m.

This will be the final flight of the Jenny before she's forever grounded at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport.
