Jermaine Ferrell joined the KFDX News team in September 2013 as a Photographer/Multimedia Journalist. In October 2013, Jermaine was promoted to the Weekend Sports Anchor/Sports Reporter position. He is excited to once again report on the Texoma Sports Scene and being part of the KFDX team. One of the biggest sports events Jermaine got to cover was the Midwestern State Men's soccer team's first ever trip to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2007. He has more than 10 years of broadcasting experience in the Lawton/Wichita Falls television market.

Jermaine was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. He is a proud graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jermaine also is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for 8 years including being stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Jermaine has been involved in several community events including Master of Ceremonies of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Junior Scholarship Prayer Breakfast for 7 years, Master of Ceremonies of the Progressive Club Scholarship Debutante Ball for 7 years, Guest Reader of Morning Announcements at Jefferson Elementary in Wichita Falls for 3 years and a Celebrity Team Leader for Wichita Falls Teens Make A Difference Day for 7 years.

His passion for broadcasting started at a young age. He says as a child he would pretend to be a news anchor by reading the paper to his parents, grandparents, siblings or anyone else who would listen.

Jermaine is a big fan of the Virginia Tech Hokies, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Yankees. In his spare time he loves to spend time with his future wife as well as family, friends and loving life and having a strong faith in that all things are possible if you just believe. Jermaine says he looks at everyday as a blessing.
