Last Day to Sign up for Obamacare Causes Frustration

As the not-so-hard deadline to sign up for Obama care arrived today, what was supposed to be the last day to register went much like the first day.

As the not-so-hard deadline to sign up for Obama care arrived today, what was supposed to be the last day to register went much like the first day.
Local health insurance agents say the process has kept them busy and frustrated.
Much of the day health insurance agents say they encountered a screen telling them Healthcare.gov was unavailable.
Reasons ranged from system maintenance to too many users trying to access it at once.
At Financial Partners in Wichita Falls, Kelly Fristoe says when he was finally able to access the site for clients it took numerous attempts before the website would recognize the username and password of previously set up accounts.
Although the deadline to sign up is midnight tonight, Fristoe says an extension has been granted for people who already have an account set up on Healthcare.gov.

"That extension is extended all the way until April 15th for people that have an account that's been created at Healthcare.gov but they have not yet competed the enrollment process," says Kelly Fristoe, with Financial Partners.

Fristoe says if you don't sign up for healthcare insurance by midnight tonight and could be penalized for not having coverage but there are hardship exceptions that can be applied for to avoid penalties.
