A robbery has a Lawton man charged with robbery and resisting a police officer after he tried to make a report on a stolen gun.

Lawton Police say it all started around 9:30 this morning when a woman called to say her ex-boyfriend and 22-year-old Nathan Rollins robbed her at gunpoint on the 1800 block of Taft.

Police say various items were taken including her car. When police spotted her vehicle they made a traffic stop. Officers say both the driver and Rollins ran away.

During the chase, officers saw one suspect, Rollins, drop a gun on the ground.

A short time later, an officer was called to a house in the 2100 block of Lindy on a report of a stolen gun.

Police say as "the victim" was describing the handgun, the officer realized it was the same description of the handgun found from the foot chase.

The officer that chased Rollins came to the scene and positively Id'ed him as the passenger from the stolen vehicle.

A third robbery took place early this morning at a Stripes store on the 4,000 block of North West Cache Road.

Lawton Police are searching for two suspects both described as Hispanic males in their early 20's.

They were last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, cargo shorts, and a dark sweatshirt, dark pants, and ski masks.
