Local Police Respond to Dozens of Fireworks Calls

Wichita Falls police responded to at least 40 calls reporting people shooting off fireworks inside city limits, which is illegal.
Though it's illegal to even possess fireworks within Wichita Falls city limits, police say they've responded to dozens of calls related to the pyrotechnics.
Call records show that from 10 about Tuesday morning through 5 this morning, officers responded to at least 40 fireworks calls.
Though there are no reports yet of any tickets issued, officials are reminding residents about setting off their own fireworks display, which a city ordinance prohibits.
If you are caught possessing fireworks and setting them off in the city limits, you could be fined up to $2000.
