Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten are described as the baselines of  Childhood Education.
So if you're looking to make sure your child gets a good foundation for the school years, the  WFISD is getting ready to round up all those students who want to get a head start.
Kindergarten Roundup is underway right now and next week parents can get their Pre-K students registered.
Eddie Randle shows us how you can get your child  on the right track in school in this weeks Making the Grade.
Its never to early to start the education of your children.
WFISD campuses are getting ready for the next generation of scholars.

Parents and students can walk through a classroom, meet the teachers and learn what to expect for the upcoming school year.
Pre-K is not a requirement, but teachers and administrators highly recommend it.

Its one of the best predictors of reading success and academic success in the future, it helps them develop socially, academically and emotionally its a great start for all kids.
Martin says Pre-K and Kindergarten have many benefits  such as giving children a groundwork of acceptable behavio,r teaching them to express their feelings with words instead of with physical actions.
She says these pre-grade school classes sets kids on a good path they can stay on for years to come.

Not only the academic aspect of it getting them ready for kindergarten I think it sets you out to be a well rounded individual later in life socially.
