A Wichita Falls man faces a possible charge of terroristic threat after police say he's involved in a more than three-hour standoff with officers and SWAT.

60-year-old Charles Harris Rahe is charged with terroristic threat.

Rahe has a lengthy criminal record including resisting arrest, violating a protective order and driving while intoxicated, mostly in Wilbarger County.

Wichita Falls Police and the SWAT team were called to the 1800 block of Collins shortly before 11 last night to check on Rahe.  When they arrived, officers say they saw the man with a handgun at the door.  Police say the man went inside the house, shut the door, and refused to speak with officers.

At 2 this morning, police say the SWAT team entered the man's home and took him into custody.  His name is not being released at this time.

Residents in and around the area of Collins Avenue were asked to stay inside their homes and avoid driving into the area during the standoff.

Police say there were no reports of gunfire.
