A man is behind bars facing at least 2 felony charges after officers say he rammed a stolen truck into a car before taking off on foot.

It happened just before 7:30 Thursday evening, in the Kell West area, around Kemp.

Sergeant Harold McClure says another officer recognized a truck that had been reported stolen. When that officer tried to pull the driver over, Sgt. McClure says the driver took off and hit a car near Garrison's Grocery Store.

Sgt. Mcclure says the suspect then drove west on Kell, before wrecking the stolen vehicle near Grand Rental Station. Then McClure says after he took off running the man was caught about a block away.

He faces charges of theft of a vehicle and evading arrest, again both are felonies. And, McClure says more charges are expected since the man left the scene of an accident.

No one was injured in the car.
