A man who was partially paralyzed in a motorcycle accident and later charged for the theft of the motorcycle is now in jail on new charges.

18-year-old David Clayton Sorrells is charged with burglary of a habitation with a bond of $25,000. Sorrells was indicted just last month and is awaiting trial for theft of property over $1,500.

Police say back in August, Sorrells was riding a stolen motorcycle on Fairway when he was struck by a car driven by 26-year-old Connard Lee Riddles III. Riddles was sentenced to 3 years for causing an accident involving injury. Sorrells was not wearing a helmet and underwent two brain surgeries.
