The cause of an early morning fire that destroyed a downtown home owned by Faith Mission remains undetermined. It happened a little after midnight on the 1200 block of Austin.
The two-story house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and quickly upgraded it to a two-alarm fire. Nearly 30 firefighters worked to douse the flames but the home was considered a total loss.
Mission officials say the structure was an old boarding home that had no items inside. Officials on the scene at the fire said they believe it may have been intentionally set.
