1.08 inches of rain was measured for the entire month of May at Sheppard Air force Base.
That is 2.71 inches below normal. The normal May rainfall amount is 3.79 inches.

May 8th was the wettest day when 0.65 inches of rain fell, followed by May 27th when
0.21 inches was measured.

Wichita Falls is currently in a 6.39 inch rainfall deficit for 2014. As of May 31st,
the city is 39.04 inches below normal since January 2011.

The last time Wichita Falls ended the year above its normal annual rainfall of 28.92 inches
was in 2010 when 28.98 inches of rain fell.
