July is when thoughts focus on beating the brutal heat.

But today some Texomans actually concentrated on the holidays.

The Misfits Biker Social Club hosted a barbecue lunch benefit at Red River Harley Davidson.

And members cooked up burgers to raise cash for "Wreaths for Vets," a project where members purchases wreaths and puts them on the graves of veterans during the holidays.

"In a lot of cases the guys didn't get any honor when they came home so we will try to do our best to change that," said Ted Foster, the Event Organizer.

If you didn't get to donate during today's benefit there's still time to do so.

Just contact Ted Foster at 782-1740 or Ray Calvert at 781-7576 to make a donation.
