This year's Great Texas Warrant Roundup started two days ago and Wichita Falls Municipal Court officials say more people are taking steps to stay out of jail.

On Tuesday, law enforcement officials started arresting Wichita Falls residents who have not cleared their outstanding warrants from unpaid parking tickets and other misdemeanor offenses.

But municipal court officials say officers have not arrested many people because so many are coming in early to pay their fines.

Out of 11,000 outstanding warrants in the City of Wichita Falls nearly 1,300 warrants have been cleared.
