MSU Football Begins Spring Football Practice

Sunday is the start of the 2014 season for the Midwestern State Mustangs football team.

MSU put on the helmets for the start of spring football.
Last season the Mustangs finished 7-3.
Their 14th consecutive winning season.
MSU lost several key people including the school's all time leading rusher in Keidrick Jackson and top defensive back in Neiko Conway.
Bill Maskill begins his 13th season as head coach of the Mustangs.
Bill Maskill: "Well one you have to see who has stepped up from a year ago to see how much stronger and quicker and faster they have gotten. How much more they can retain. And who is going to be productive. We are looking for effort and production. And obviously we are looking to see when we put the pads on. We need to see who is physical and who will get after each other."
The Mustangs get 15 practices during the spring period.
MSU wraps up spring practice with the annual Maroon vs. Gold game April 12th at Memorial Stadium.
