After a tough 1-2 start the Midwestern State women's basketball team has turned things around.
The Mustangs have won four of their last five games including a big win Sunday on the road against Ouachita Baptist.
In that game the Mustangs had 5 players in double figures.
Head coach Noel Johnson says in their first eight games of the season it has been a baptism by fire but things are turning around for the Mustangs as they head into conference play.
"We have played a lot of games early. Without a lot of practice. The kids have done a good job adjusting to that. I think they are finally getting the rhythym of the season. Of game planing and preparing of doing the little bitty details that are going to separate you from people down the stretch," said Johnson.
The Mustangs open up Lone Star Conference play Thursday at home at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum against Texas Woman's University.
Tip off is at 6 p.m.
