A new executive director is taking over at the Boys and Girls Club in Burkburnett after police say the previous executive director, 62 year-old Sharon Bankhead, was allegedly signing forged checks from the organization to herself.

Donna Moore has been with the Boys and Girls Club for just under 5 years working as a coach and teacher. She says she's excited to be working with the Burkburnett branch where she grew up.

She plans to lead by example and says while the new role has a lot more responsibilities, she feels confident in taking them on.

“There are always some challenges in any position when you are in charge of something, so it's going to be a challenge but it's also going to be a challenge accepted on my part because I’m looking forward to it. I love challenges,” said Moore.

The Boys and Girls Club says insurance will give them a quarter of the money allegedly taken by their previous executive director.
